New Paintings by Mark Dilks

Mark Dilks has explored various means of painting for the the last two decades. For this show organized by Sheldon Omar-Abba at The Pottery Gym, Mark shows larger collaged based abstract paintings made in the studio, some hand-sized works on toasted bread, alongside a series of plein air landscapes of a broken bench among cherry blossoms that were painted over the last three seasons. The imagery is bright in color, playfully stark with a biting humor revealing internal wit.
